do a search in the sirius/xm threads there is a place under the fron cowl by the wipers some have put it there but heard some have reception problems. others have ran it out the third brake light and sealed it up with silicone so no leaks. dont forget about grinding the plastic tabs where teh radio bolts in so it fits more flush. search in the navigation section someone posted pics there. good luck!

Diggman, mind me asking how much that all set you back? Seen some on eBay with differing prices based on the accessories that came with it, so just curious. Might be lookin to do the same here as well in the next few months. Thanks in advance!

Not trying to be an *** or anything... but what is the atraction for a nav unit? I just can't figure that out. I have never needed to use a map for a second or two to figure out where to go. Am I missing something?

bird man the nav unit was $1500 shipped to my house, included nav disc, gps antenna, and he programs it to your specific vehicle. The sirrius unit was $375 i believe, include everything needed.. Personally i wouldnt trust ebay with this. because those are usually take outs and have to be reprogrammed.

Is there a website to go along with this info?

Is the phone number for a business or for an individual?

Navigation is SOOO handy. Everytime you go somewhere you haven't been and you want to know where you are, just punch it in and you got a nice map of everything around you. I don't know how you can have a car without it sometimes...... I have my antenna mounted in the center of the cowl right at the base of the windshield. I tried it right behind the window at that same point and never could get more than 2 satellites, but with it out there I usually get 5-6. I'll take pics later today and post em for you. It's a great place and you never notice it unless you know it's there.

he is an authorized Ford radio repair technician/dealer. he gives you 1 year warranty unless you have more than that under your Ford warranty then its covered under that. Don't think you get that with the Ebay ones. He is also a member on this site.

If you travel alot there nice to have! That and there is alot more then just navigation. If your out of town it will find you gas stations, hotels, certain kind of restaurant (italian, mexican, chinese etc.) or all restaurants in your area among other things too.

I'm not really one to use a nav unit, but I have to admit htey are really cool. My mom just bought an Edge with one, and it's a very nice unit.
