Factory Nav Unit

i was considering puttin the satellite atenna under the cowl were the windshield wipers are. but ive heard that it doesnt give full reception and wont be as clear. as on the roof. but im afraid to drill a hole in my roof.. as also im afraid of leaking issues if i run it through my 3rd brake light.

If you are worried about leaking, all you have to do is silcone aroud the wire and it should not leak. I ran my lightbar through my third brake light. I am a volly firefighter and i havent had a problem with leaking yet.

Here's that pic I promised.....Perfect mounting spot if you ask me. You never notice it, it's so small compared to the cowling on the truck and it's black so it matches. Out in the air so it gets very good reception. I ran the wire through the grommet that is above the brake pedal and around under the cowling on the left side.

yeah i like that look. ill keep it in mind. did u just use adhesive to mount it? i might just go to the dealership and look at a factory one and see how exactly it is mounted w/ the wire through the roof...ill post some pics when i get my complete install finished w/ the nav. unit and sirruis
