Why wouldn't you take it seriously, the Nitro has almost the same from end design!

i dont see them making their trucks look like that i guess.
and about the ford i dont see them making their trucks look like their sedans/crossovers, they have the distinct truck addons.

the dodges look ugly enough already, if they went with that look they would be taking even another step backwards.

also, someone in my nieghborhood just got a new 07 expi extended version (ford's answer to the chevy suburban?) and it is an absolute tank. huge and boxy, i dont know if i like it or not.

Before buying the F150 I test drove a few '06 and '07 Dakotas and compared them to my '00 Dakota.

Here's my opinion:
Steering: They steer like a mini suv or a midsize car. Not a truck.
Response: V6 was horrid, V8 was little better, but no real power like my '00.
Quality: Bumpers felt like they were made out of aluminum, and I could easily flex them with one hand. Doors weighted like 2 lbs... no real door weight.
Noise: The only thing Dodge did right. Barely could hear outside noise. But come on... it's a truck, not a luxury vehicle.
Suspension: Car-like ride... not even sporty.
Options: No V8 with a 6 speed stick turned me off.
Misc: The truck felt like a toy. Didn't feel safe in it. Felt like Dodge knifed the Dakota.

My '00 on the other hand... what a truck... insanity when it comes to the power and muscle. I had a terrible time trying to at least spin the tires on the '07 V8... my '00 can burn brand new Eagle RS/A 17X10's no problem.

My Dad wishes that Ford would release the Excursion again... with the Diesel. Then again an expedition with that new 6.4 PSD would be nice too. My Dad would drop instantly for it.
