5.4 3V,3.55 gears and trailer tow package.I love the truck just wish it had some more power.I bought it to tow my 89 Mustang Coupe that i hope to race a few times this year.I only had the Mustang to the track one time last year ran a 11.31 at 119.460 mph so far.I found this site when i got the F-150Feb 5th,great site.I have a couple pictures of my F-150 if some body could post them on here. It's Dark Stone with the Pueblo Gold two tone on bottom.

Thanks Mark.

Thanks for the Welcome guys,Voodoochild nice Mustang

that would have to be rare being a Cobra convertible. My 89 Mustang started out with a 4 cylinder automatic and now has a 466 BBF with a C-4 trans and 3.73 gears.

Later Mark.

Well they only made 1000 of them, I have only seen 2 other and they have been stored away. to me that is sad, I mean I drive mine. Its by no means a daily driver but I drive it.

Welcome. 3.73's for towing and a tuner should put you where you want your truck to be.

Welcome to the finest F150 forum on the block. You'll pick up alot of advice and tips here. So lets start with..

If you wanted power why did you buy the 4x4 with the 3.55 rear end. The add weight of the 4wd system coupled with the lowest gear ratio is not designed for "power". The money you saved with the 3.55 will soon be spent in performance mods such as tuner ($300+), CAI ($300+), exhaust($400+), or even new gears trying to chase those elusive ponies that you could have bought from the factory either in this manufacture or others.

On the other hand with gas prices projected to top out at around $3.25/gallon by summer for 89octane you might be happier knowing that the 3.55 rear offers the best mpg of all the setups.

Either way enjoy your new truck.
