Did anybody watch it

I was watching Trucks today and they added more power to what it looks like to be an FX4 or something. Stock on the dino was like 202hp/234lb. I was suprised. What I was most suprised about was the jump in HP with headers. My mustang never jumped that much with new headers. I like the upgrades including big brakes and the blower. Did anybody see it. With the blower 335hp/350lb. Sounds like fun.

If its the trucks that I saw last week. The "Banks" truck. Then its not just the headers. They added the exhaust at the same time and they chiped it up to level 2. Its a nice little trick they lick to play. They should of done exhaust seperate and then the headers.

It was a re-run. They did that show about 4 months ago.

Yep, thats about all that these trucks put to the rear wheels. Our trucks have about 30% drivetrain loss.

202? Yesh.. but if that's with 33's attached to 22's, a stock setup would run slightly better, no?

I would think the final output #'s would be the same. Tire will change gear ratio for sure but I don't see why it would change the final HP/TQ #'s.

I use this example for my train of thought:

You can ride a bike at a certain speed. Jump on one of the new 16 speed racing bikes & you go a whole lot faster right? You are putting out the same strength thru your legs, but the bike is helping you with gear ratios. Same thing with a vehicle. A truck with a 4.10 rear can tow more than a 3.55 but makes the exact same power.

If I am incorrect, by all means some one please post the correct info & explanation.

KC-10 FE out...

Your right. HP at the flywheel will stay the same.

But change anything past the flywheel, i.e. transmission, gear ratio, or different size tires and now you have changed the avalible horsepower to the ground. Or in the case of a dyno, the roller.

When you change anything from stock it is going to effect your hp/tq readings on the dyno. How much is anyones guess though. When you put larger wheels and tries on a truck it changes alot, heavier wheels, tires, wind resistance. All sorts of things.
