well i wasnt able to figure out how to do all of those insanely precise measurements that youre supposed to do. i used all of te existing shims which gave me a fairly decent contact pattern so it may be ok.

i had to buy a special bearing puller to g the pinion bearing off th old pinion. i didnt save the bearing, but i wanted to reuse the shim that was underneath. all in all it was a pretty messy and frustrating job. i just didnt want to shell out $800 to have it done. only time will tell if i made the right decision :o

i probably wouldnt reccommend that anybody try this themselves. i just did it because i dont mind having problems if i can learn something out of it
