So you guys are actually putting tint on the whole windshield? I never saw that or didnt know it was even legal, interesting. I did not think you were supposed to go passed the AS1 line or whatever it is I would like to see some more front shots of the glass tinted though, im curious.

For most, if not all states, it is illegal to go past the AS1 line, and if you have state inspections you will not pass. Like anything else though if you know someone then you can get away with anything.

I recently had my wife's Accord tinted. I did not put an eyebrow. I think they look stupid. I'm gonna go with the majority here and say "no."

depends on where you live and how strict they are on the tint laws. I have had the entire windshield tinted on my last two trucks and have gotten nailed for it. I am with the majority and say no, but I live in Las Vegas with 130 degree summers so I have one because some tint is better than no tint. I even tried to tint the entire windshield and then put the eyebrow on top of it to trick the state troopers and police, yeah that didn't work, I had to strip it.

Yes.

As you can see (or barely see) on my truck the strip is hardly noticable from the outside, is very useful to the driver, and is not T A C K Y if applied by a professional. And because you also have a black truck like mine it will blend in nicely. BTW my front windows and strip are 6% and I have never been rejected for a Texas state inspection. And I dont know anybody in the inspection business.

I have the full windshield tinted with 30% and a 5% eyebrow on my truck and my car and I luv it I cant stand driving a car with out windsheild tint now it is just to bright. And i have been stopped many times in several states for speeding and none of them have ever said anything about the tint.

Cops here are bored compared to other places, I guess. I know people who have been cited for front side window tint, and I know a guy that has a legal reason to have the windshield tinted (glaucoma), but he still get hassled. Me personally, I live far from the street lights with plenty of critters running across the road. I would never consider getting the windshield tinted. Heck, I spend money on getting the lights brighter. Why make them dimmer?
