does driveshaft need to be lengthened for Fabtech 6"?

I just purchased a 6" fabtech lift for my 04 supercrew.....

I was just looking around this site and someone mentioned that the driveshaft needed to be lengthened when using the 6" fabtech kit.....

is this true? Front or rear or both?

what if I use a front space and aal with the 6" for 7.5 or so " of lift... would it require lengthening then?

thanks all

You will be fine, no driveshaft work is needed.

Yep, spacer comes in the kit for the rear. No spacer needed for the front.

You don't have to lengthen it but we always do because the driveshaft has to come out anyways to cut out the master spline and rebalance anyways. Think it ends up being 37". Costs about 120 and that's for master spline, rebalancing, new tubing and lengthening.
