What are you all running with the 4.6 0-60 in the 04 and up trucks?

I have a 99 4.6 5speed 4x4 and it's ok, but would no way spank my Superduty.

if you dont mind me asking what intake do you have? and where can i find a ported and polished intake, and does the buterfly rod effect it enough to need shaved? as far as the rear cat delete i think that with me keeping the cats but going to a straight pipe keeps me at the same airflow and back pressure as you, but im wanting to go with a 4.10

i'm running the volant, and quite happy with it. a lot of guys will talk crap about it, and say the AF1 is better, and that closed box systems are crap, but whatever.

as far as the port and polished plenum... you can't find it, its 100% custom. same concept as port and polished heads, done with a stone on a die grinder and then a buffer. the butterfly rod was milled on a bridgeport. 3/16" give or take adds 10 hp at the crank on the dyno.

the trucks going into the shop for 4.10's in the next couple weeks. you'll lose some back pressure if you run the straight pipes.

Well, I assume you are talking STOCK versus STOCK. I have had a alot of Superduty diesels (see me over at TDS), and my stock 2004 and 2006 6.0L Strokes wouldn't spool up before my 2007 Supercrew 5.4L would be gone. The turbo lag just sucked. Now that my 2007 F-150 is Troyer tuned (93 Octane HP) and has the 3.5" AF1, there is no way. It would be close at best. If they could get rid of the turbo lag, well then, maybe I'd bite. I have logged more miles than most over the past nine years in oil burning Strokes, and to tell you the truth, the stock 6.0L never impressed me getting outta the hole. Now, my 2002 or 2003 7.3L's chipped (Hypermax 330), intaked, and exhausted... they impressed me. Of course, and diesel pulling a load is impressive. Especially if you have 4500# behind the F-150 and 10,000# behind the diesel - then all bets are off.

So I guess it's safe to say the V10 will smoke the PSD stock for stock.

I am running between 7.5 to 8.0 sec 0-60 with an unloaded car hauler behind me.

I would think so if you take turbo lag into consideration.

Psd

Callin BS on this one also as I own both the 150 and the SD PSD. both are massaged...the BullyDog equipped 6.0 PSD will absolutely devour the 5.4 and not even burp! the milisecond of lag is easily overcome when it pukes black smoke and launches!
I love the 1fiddy tho, rides much nicer :)

I wish tis was true with my past 6.0L's. It was more like an easy three seconds. You could easily hit the go pedal and count to three (easy) and then it would go. And, you are talking modified with yours. My 2004 6.0L was a dog, and then, I tried it again in 2006. The same results. I am toying with the idea of a 6.4 next time around, but I'll have to drive one first... in fact, a few. The V-10 may be lookin better all the time - especially if this 5.4L f-150 won't haul my trailers worth a rats poop.
