Did some Edge custom settings, how do they look?

Finally decided to play with my settings since I have been running the canned Level 3 for about 6m now. This is what I loaded up based off of other members settings that were posted. Let me know if they look straight, thanks.

5.4 running 93 Octane at sea level.

SHIFTS
1-2 @ 5250
2-3 @ 5250
3-4 @ 5000

MAX RPM/LIMITER- 5600
MAX SPEED- 110
TIMING- +1.75
SHIFT PRESSURE- + 12 ALL SHIFTS
STANDEARD SHIFTING- NO CHANGE
WOT- +1.55

My current stock wheels are 275x65-18 and I tried to plug in the manuals recommended 2559mm but it defaulted back to 2563mm. Tried twice so I guess thats as I can get. Is that cool?

Thanks for any input. I am trying to milk some more power out of this pig but be safe. If anything looks "unsafe" please let me know, thanks guys/gals

Looks ok, some of the rev limiter and shift pressure are a little high for my taste but not too bad. The 4mm difference in the tire height is nothing. 4mm is only .157" a small load in the bed would change the tire height more than that.

looks good except I would back off on 3-4 shift to 4800. That is a weak point in these trannys.

I can do that, I can just go in there and adjust that one setting without having to redo everything correct?

I would back off the timing to 1.00 and start from there. Level 3 on the EDGE is designed for 91 octane, and since you are running 93 you should only bump up your timing by 1.00. The general rule is half a degree in timing for every full point in octane. On my 05' I ran 1.25 on level 3, when I tried 1.5 I could feel it detonating thru the throttle pedal (it felt like a buzzing in the pedal under W.O.T.) and detonation will destroy an engine if left unchecked. So, I would start at 1.00 and adjust up from there, then when you feel it starting to detonate, back off .25 and you should be good.

Everything looks good except I'd back the 3-4 shift down to 4700 rpms and drop the timing down to +1.

I will back my 3-4 to 4800 instead of 5000 for now and drop the timing to 1.25 instead of 1.75 and see how she runs. Can I just make those adjustments or do I need to replug them all in again? Thanks Thump!

There is an option to load your previous settings, do so and than edit what you need to and you'll be ready to load the new tune.

You can load previous settings in the power programming setup, pick the level you want, hit enter, then at the bottom of the list load previous settings and then change what you want to.
