Ford Gold start alarm system

Would anyone have the programming guide for the Ford Gold alarm remote start system? I need to change a few settings. It is actually a Code Alarm CA630 that Ford uses. I know I saw it somewhere but can't find it now. Thanks

The CA630 and the Gold have different programming. Here is a link to the Installation manual for the CA630 HERE

Sorry - I thought that Ford installed the CA630 and called it Ford Gold. The installer told me that Code made the alarms for Ford. Is the programming different? Maybe todays gold is different from the one they used in 2004. Thanks again for the good info.

The Gold and CA630 are similar but the programming is different and the Gold has the ability to work with your keypad on the door and also has outputs for your memory seats.

You gain a nicer Carbon Fiber remote with a blue LED on it to show that the signal is transmitting and that the battery is working. The 630 has a longer runtime (25 minutes) and also has the ability to be setup for preset cranktime meaning that you can set it up for 1.5 second crank on your newer ford vehicles and it will crank the ignition longer than is needed to ensure that the vehicle will start. The newer fords have an anti-grind that keeps the vehicle from grinding. The advantage of this that there is no tach wire needed to be run to the engine and also will let the unit crank enough to fire the engine a 100 percent of the time. The 630 doesn't have the ability to connect to the keypad to allow manual arming and disarming of the system so basically have your remote ready to shut the alarm off if you use the keypad to open the door. Also with no memory seat function you will need to press 1 or 2 on the seat memory buttons.

Both systems have the port that allows you to directly plug in the Ford Securelock key bypass. And the remotes are interchangable.

The new Ford Powercode GEN 2 systems are a Silver and Gold rolled up into one. They give you the ability to shut off the security feature completely. They also have the feature like the Code Alarm branded units with the preset crank time now.
