both of which would have a shorter sidewall than what I have now
that still doesnt help my offset problem
(dribone for ex has a +40 offset using the 265/35 22)

I've always had a hard time understanding the offset thing... eventually i'm going to move up to the 265/40's to fill out the wheel well a little more. you'll really tear up your rims on the curbs with the 265/35's.

OH YA, with your 3.5 drop up front how much clearence so you have between the tire and fender lip?

I've got 2 and 3 inch drop coils ATM and maybe with another kind of drop (spindles shocks) I have a little room to play with
how was the clearence with the 3 inch coil? with the tire your runnin right now it looks like you could have went with a 4 inch drop

i've got 2 1/2" from tire to fender. 3" coil gave about 3" of clearance. hard ride though. 4" drop you could do a 2" arm and 2" coil. Hopefully in a couple weeks it'll drop ANOTHER 4 inches or so...
