you have any pics of this setup?

I'll try to get some this weekend, in the GT and the F150. It's really quite slick!

I have my Garmin nuvi mouted right above my EDGE. This seems to be the best spot for me. Now I just want to know how to tie the power cord into my truck so I don't have to waste a cigarette lighter port.

I just purchased a Brandmotion Magellan Intergrated GPS on ebay for a bit under 500 shipped. It is the Magellan Roadmate 760 modified to look OEM. My friend has it on his truck.. The thing can't be fooled. It's really awesome!

I just got the Nuvi 350 also with an external antenna off of ebay. Mounted mine where you did except I don't have a programmer yet. Planning on tapping into a switched hot wire that goes to one of the power outlets. Ran out of time today but will try and get it done later this week.

I power my radar detector off of the lighter but its switched through a relay that is triggered off of a 12v lead that is hot only with the key on. So the lighter provides the power since its got enough juice, and the switched 12v makes sure its not on when the truck is off. I found the lead right above the fusebox. I ran the wires underneath the recessed tray on top of the dash so it slips up from the vent in front of the tray. Remove the two screws holding the tray and you'll be able to fish it in a couple of seconds. With the tray in place its a pain, trust me. Clean install for power at least. Brakets I'd be looking at arkon.com

That looks too clunky and in the way. Are you like a cop or something?

Loved this spot, hard to see from the outside but easy to see on the inside.

I'm looking for something like that... How easy is it to put in/take out? Got a link to the seller?
