Adding heated mirrors

Has anybody succsessfully added heated mirrors? I have an 06 XLT Scab with power mirrors without a rear window defog. Just need to know if the wiring is already there and what parts would I need to do the job. Not too interested in signal mirrors but if that's the cheapest route...

Thanks

Anyone have info on this?? I would like to do the same thing, sucks that w/o the rear defroster you don't get heated mirrors... with the cold and snow here I can't see worth a crap out of them.

You would have to check the factory loom for the wiring. You could wire them in and use a 3rd party switch or if you had a rear window defroster, wire it in to that if the wiring wasnt avail.

I have heated mirrors and no rear window defroster (power slider).

I've got em and used em probably 3 times in 3 years. The mirrors dont normally need it unless it is really snowy out.

Guess it depends on where you live but in Maryland it isn't all that useful.

Its not really snow and ice but the morning dew that settles on the mirrors overnight. My VW had them and they really help when backing out in the morning. I was just curious as to where I can check to see if I have the wiring and what other parts are needed,(ie: glass or whole assembly).
