I dont think it would be a problem to fit it on a regualar cab. I bought mine and it there was a short piece I had to have a muffler shop install. As if it would have fit on a regular cab but not my extended cab. Wierd deal I dont know if they come for regular cab and for extended/crew cab. Whatever the deal was I was missing about a foot of pipe between the stock and where the roush started. They offered to ship it back and replace it but I already had it off and was leaving town in a week and just wanted it done. So other than that I like the sound

I know a lot of people like to buy the prebent exhaust kits and clamp them on theirselves. But imo the kits are way overpriced. I bought the muffler I wanted(flowmaster 40 series) and took it to a shop. Had them do the work and purchased a set of tips and kept the total under $200 all together. The shop even had a 3 year warrenty on the work(not the tips but the hangers/welds ect).

So rather then paying all that for the roush kit(or anyother prebent kit over $500-600) why not get the muffler of your choice and have a shop do the custom work and save some $$?

you've got to cut off the stock system- you can keep it if you ever plan on putting it back on...
full T304 stainless mandrell bent, w/ polished rolled tips, slant cut and stamped w/ Roush logo

OK, I made up my mind. As soon as I can gather the funds, I am going for the Roush Off-Road, since the other fellow Montanans are running it, and it sounds great from BalogUK's clips.

Thanks guys!

theres another thread in 04-06 by kingoftheranch about exhausts- on that page i've got some contact info on where you can get the roush for around $425-450 (since we're cool and don't have sales tax)

so does the system have to be welded on since you have to cut the factory one off? i dont have a muffler shop anywhere close to me so i was hoping to put this on myself and i dont weld. also how would you remount the stock one if i ever decide to sell and want to return to stock first? thank you i appreciate it

i believe it is just some good clamps... i'll go out and look under my truck here in a few mins and edit this post. if you were to put the stock back on you'd have to get a sleeve and a couple clamps, or get it welded back together...

King:

On my 06 F-150 SC STX 4x4, all I had to do was unbolt the factory strap clamp at the head pipe (just after the y pipe) and slip the whole system of the stock hangers. I did not have to cut anything, one clamp and the whole factory system came right out. I still have it in my basement in case I need it later.

I laid the Roush system out on the floor and measured a couple of times. The instructions note that you may have to cut the Roush head pipe 7" (I think) depending on the model of the truck. For my supercab, I did not have to cut anything. I started at the head pipe and worked my way to the back of the truck. Very easy to install.

I let the exhaust run through a couple of heat cycles and then checked all the Roush strap clamps for tightness. Nothing moved at all. You shouldn't need to weld anything. The strap clamps provided by Roush are pretty heavy duty and can be loosened to make adjustments. Justin's pics should give you a better idea.
