$1000.00? BTF 4link frontend?
$2650.00 STAK T-Case
$1000.00 Hydro steering
$850.00 2" Sway Away Coilovers
$3000.00? Labor?
$10,800.00
I know this truck was built for around close to 18K-20K
Front End:
Solid axle conversion, Dana 60 reverse cut with 5.14 gear ratio and an ARB locker. 4 Link suspension with Bilstein 9100 series adjustable shocks and a rock ram steering assist with a cross-over steering kit.
Rear End:
3 link coil over suspension, Bilstein 9100 series adjustable shocks, 10.5" 14 bolt with Dana 60 Knuckles, 5.14 gear ratio and detroit locker. We also designed and installed a rear hydraulic steering system.

hmmmm, lol

$3000 labor? LOL! Your average dealership runs hourly labor rates close to $100 a hour for average grease monkeys. So at that rate this entire swap took 30 hours, roughly completed in under 1 weeks time. The people who worked on this truck are clearly masters of the trade and this is no thrown together hack job. All the custom fabrication that went into this was not cheap or quick, your labor quotes are severly underrated. Also I dont see you listing any prices for those sweet beadlockers, winch, tires, tube sliders or front bumper. sorry bud but your way off here

You are telling me that Camburg only charges around 3K to install one of their Long travel kits but Blue Torch Fab is charging over $5500 in labor to install a soild axle 4-link with a leaf spring 60 rear. I had a complete build performed on my ranger Custom Frontend built from scatch, 21 inches of travel with a fully functional 4x4, engine cage, interior cage, bed cage, Giant 64 spring kit, custom 300m axles King 2.5 14" travel Coilovers, King 2.5 Triple bypasses 18" Travel and my Labor was $3000.00. So what ever you say My opinion is he over paid if he paid 15K

Yes
A kit and a custom fab job are completely diff. Those long travel kits have been around for years, a fairly decent mechanic can do that install himself. SLR or fabtech made them for xterras back when I owned a nissan. Backyard mechanics installed it themselves in a weekend. Lets see a backyard mechanic build that f-150 in a weekend

For some reason I doubt that bothers him too much

Thanks for the compliment on my truck. I surely hope you are not comparing a Camburg long Travel Suspension System to an off the self Fabtech kit... That is like comparing apples to oranges. I don't know many back yard mechanics who can fab up a set of shock hoops and tie it into a custom engine cage that unbolts in order to remove the engine if needed. But this is just my opinion and I am going to quit hijacking LEWISBEST thread and give my props to him for a cool truck...

sorry dude, I just did a bump so more people can see this awesome machine !

Its a thread more then a year old, the guy is still active over on Pirate4x4. Very cool guy.

And to answer your question, you want arms and bracing that is welded into your frame, sticks out and attaches to the rock sliders.
here is something similiar to what his looked like:

I now this is years old but I came across it and had to say something the fab part of this build is not the tough part. the truck is alright. the transfer case was not needed at all. waste of money.IMO
