Question Pre-Purchase Factory Ordered and loaded FX4 Questions

Hello all,
I ordered an 07 FX4 Supercrew 6.5' with every option, except Navigation and Audiophile, as I intend to go aftermarket sound/video. I made this order in November. I am not obligated to buy this truck, and have not paid or signed anything.

My question is this. My truck is scheduled to arrive at dealer in 10 days. Being that I made a factory order, will I still qualify for the rebate? This would put me at $34,000, with $3,000 off dealer invoice. That price isn't bad to me, and maybe I can get them to throw in a Line-X to close the deal. But if they won't offer me the $3,000 rebate because it is a factory order, I'm walking. Anyone have any experience with this particular situation?
Thanks,
JSB

Do you truly believe that what I wrote makes me a "cheap skate"? Or do you just have nothing useful to post?

34000 for a loaded out fx4 sounds damn good to me! Most I have seen with all the bells and whistles were in the 40 or more range. I am hoping to find a basic fx4 screw for around that price.

Yes, you still get the ford rebates that are availible at the time of delivery. Ordering it has nothing to do with it. What is the MSRP? Nothing cheapskate about wanting to get the best deal!!

An invoice will arrive at the dealership before the vehicle, whatever rebates Ford is offering at the time your invoice arrives you will get. You are eligible for all rebates offered on factory ordered vehicles or on site stock. Hope this helps.

I ordered my truck last October, it arrived last Tuesday, the ford rebates were taken credited at. The rebates that were in affect at the time of the order would be valid.

No contract, you can always walk. It is an easy truck for them to sell.

My truck was ordered in with out a contract as it was a change from an instock one to a custom ordered one when I got home, i wanted the xlt regular cab with the 4.6. not a stock inventory item. The dealer was being a, well a dealer and the deal fell after the truck was in production. When it arrived I refused the truck as per last conversation, they knocked another 3 grand of the truck and went back to the original deal. so I now have it.

This last truck deal was intersting as one dealer, where I had puchased my lightning also offered 2 grand off MRSP after the $3,000. ford rebate.

Play hard ball get a written offer on the truck and take it to a different dealer. They will offer all the rebates and possibly as I discovered further rebates to get a sale.

good luck ... you are in the drivers seat on this deal..

Don't pay any attention to his posts...most don't...99% of his responses are sophmoric at best.

So serious about things. Nothing is wrong with a good deal. I just find it hard to beleive that you ordered a truck, and won't take it unless you get the current rebates (which you will). Most people become to anxious prior to delivery and start have pre-buyers remorse; feeling they paid too much before they even got the car. But hey 3000 bucks is less tax, title, lic here. If you have your vin i can run a VINCENT and show you exactly what you will get for rebates. But great deal.

And anaheim, do not be mad at me.

You don't get rebates at time of order. You only get the rebates that are avalible at time of delivery. If a dealer tells you otherwise, you could have gotten the truck cheaper and they are blowing smoke up where the sun don't shine.

All Good Information - Thanks

Thanks, everyone, for your information and ideas. I now think that 34K after rebate is a pretty good deal for a fully loaded 07 FX4 with Luxury Edition package.

Like anthony said, there is a little of pre-buyers remorse going on here.

KansasJoe: 34K after the 3K rebate

Hopefully pic's in a couple weeks.
Thanks,
JSB
