Hmmm....why cant they make an aftermarket headlight housing that is made for aftermarket HID kits? Or do they already have one?

so what's your final comment on them josiah. would you do this kit again? how comfortable are you with it long term?

 

I was real disappointed I had to tap into the wiring harness, I hear they are usually $1k+. I only had to do this on the H13 bulbs, the fogs were very easy and look fantastic. The headlights are not plug and play, both lights needed trimming to get them to fit. I will post pics and vids of a review soon, I need to find a better camera.

Is there anywhere you can buy the female/male end of the harness plug for power, on the H13 socket. I just want to know I can purchase these in case I revert back to stock. The Ollo HID's are a quality kit, but I'm skeptical of the H13 kit, they skimped on something I believe is key. You'll need a dremel to trim everything as well, I still believe it's worth it.

I've never dabbed into relays yet so any advice there? Lastly, any advice to keep everything looking clean? I found ziptieing every 2 inches looks great. And yes I t-tapped some parts, they were quality t-taps (3M) and had two guilitines (think about this explanation). I feel they work pretty well. What is the BEST way to splice in your opinion? I'm assuming simple crimping splicers (look like an "I") and stay away from taps.

Funniest part of the night, my neighbor who is my age, got her new mercede's kompressor coupe taken by the Repo man. It was exciting to watch, she ran over to get me like I was going to help...those guys have a tough job but they also make it tough on themselves...they offered to get the keys so they wouldn't yank it up in park and they yanked it up yelling get away from the car...blah blah. Repo men are nuts, how do you become one and what do they make? I knew it was suspicious a tow truck jams into place to tow it up the flatbed at 2am...I have a pic of this.

 

Ok, I am blinding traffic even after aiming them down. I am going to go some more but now I'm diminishing the performance. I wish I could take the headlights out and just run fogs because I know the cops are going to hassle me around here. I also have an intermittent "FLICKER" which irritates the life outta me, anybody know how I can diagnose a random flicker? I can be sitting still so I don't think it's a loose connection.

These have extreme glare, I definitely am going to do something about these before I get pulled over. Weazel, how do you feel about them, I'm a little timid about driving around I'm just waiting to get pulled over as I have a couple other violations I worry about.

 

Sorry to hear abotu all the problems with your install. I wish they did have a plug on the H13 kit as well. Since they are a new bulbs for the manufacturer they do not have the plug yet. I am not sure about the flickering issue you are having though. Is it both lights or just one side?

 

I have 6k HID fogs and love them not too blue and sooo much light. The fog lamps have the right cut off to keep form blinding others IMO. If doing hid just stick to fogs. I run with just my fogs on because even with my headlights aimed right I was getting flashed and with the fogs aimed right I have way more light then the stock headlights and I dont get flashed. Also I pass cops nightly and no problems, Knock on wood. please dont let me get pulled over now because I said that. But really just stick to fogs you'll have plenty of light with them alone.

 

I actually passed a cop with both my head and fogs on and they never even hit the brakes, although I do not normally drive with both the heads and fogs on since it is so bright, but it is nice for dark roads. I have the 6000K in my truck

I had all the same problems you had with my old kit Josiah. I took them out and went back to good ol' halogen stockers with silverstars.
