read my last post weazel. See if you can identify the wires by looking at your truck right now. My truck is just sitting in the garage I took a pic for sympathy lol. Also a pic of the HID's in the fogs, they are amazing! I got flashed already for the fogs, which is all I have done.

Looks like Black is ground, light green and black is the hi beam, and dark brown white is the low. Hard to read the diagram but that look like it and i dont know what color wires u have.

Unfortunately all 3 wires are black, in the above picture I posted it's the far left hole that is hot. Might have to ground it myself.

Wow. I just checked the passenger side headlight, it has colored wires, but the drivers has black. The harness' are the same but I also found out a YEAR after buying my truck it was involved in a small fender bender. I guess the harness might have been replaced too, it's funny what you find years later. I figured it out, the middle wire is the ground and the left hole is hot, if the harness is facing you like a human head shape.

Got them all installed, but a big problem. On the driver side, one HID bulb is flashing nonstop and then just shuts off. there is a ticking in the ballast trying to "ignite" the HID bulb with no luck, and then gives up. The others light up fine. I wonder if there is not enough power getting to all 4 headlights, at one point in time the passenger side headlight did it as well. Any ideas as to what can cause a blinking HID?

Edit:
I am near certain it is not enough power to supply these bulbs, or there is not a large enough connection in the splice, I should have stripped them. I believe this because as it powers on and they get brighter, both headlight bulbs start blinking until one goes out then the other stays on strong. Guess I'll be rewiring until 4am.

My flicker problem is cured. It was simply because I was using daytime running lamps...those were fun while they lasted =] Product looks and performs great, I need to aim my headlights down some and you need to trim the inside of your stock headlights housing to get the H13's the fit!!! Weazer did you have this problem as well?

It sounds like you tapped into the stock wiring harness (and you already said your wiring skills were suspect, somthing about you knew you should have stripped the wires?? Tell me you didnt T-Tap this stuff..) Anyway, it sounds like you were exceeding the capacity of the stock wire w/ the daytime running lamps? If that is the case they are both great arguments to run dedicated fused wiring from the battery with a relay to trigger off the dark brown/white wire so that you don't burn up your stock wiring harness, then you can revert back to stock if you want or need to later.

Look at the photo of the fogs only... that should answer your question. Also, the fact that he's already getting 'flashed' should help too.

In a nutshell, weazel is dead on... it spreads which, with HID, isn't a good thing from a safety perspective for the other driver.

I'll stay off of my soap box here... it'd sure be easy to step up on it though.

Josiah, JerryK is right you should take the time and run dedicated fused wiring that way you'll not only save your stock harness but you'll get the same amount of power going to all 4 lights

yeah i had to aim the heads down alot, and i also had to trim the inside of the socket to make the bulb fit in the head....
