I have an 05 F150 lariat w/5.4. Got in truck today and the edge screen displayed I was running in stock mode which I know I always run in level 2 and I know I did not change it back to stock. So I figured I would put it back in level 2 as soon as I did the fail safe light on the truck came on along with the check engine light. Returned edge back to stock and truck is still running in fail safe mode. Can anyone help me please??? Any information or ideas are much appreciated! Thanks!

sorry I'm no help. While I was putting my truck back to stock yesterday it said failsafe mode as well, it hasn't returned. First thing you can do is reboot everything, pull the battery.

 

Mine showed it was back to stock on the display without returning it to stock. The truck was running fine then I tried to put it back to level 2 an fail safe showed up immediately. Did pulling the battery help you?

 

Scan for codes, if no codes present disconnect battery for 10min. (Post your DTCs if you have them)

Tried starting ot just a minute ago fail safe still showed up. I turned off the truck and the edge screen would not turn off so I disconnected it and pulled the battery. I'm going to wait a couple more minutes and try again. Thanks

 

Just tried starting it and still in fail safe mode. Don't have time to reinstall edge tonight, I'll try tomorrow. Please if you have anymore info would be greatly appreciated will be back tomorrow around 4 with an update, will be periodically checking tonight. -Thanks!
