I just "googled" MAG LITE MOUNTING CLIPS and then shopped around for the cheapest place I could find them on the internet. I couldn't find the clips at any local retailers in my area, so I just bought them online.

I bought the clips at Bass Pro / Outdoor World for less than $5.00 about 2 weeks ago. I mounted my flashlight to the front of the driver's seat, like some others have, but I mounted the clips onto a piece of 1/8" x 1" aluminum flatbar, with spacers underneath it to keep it above the raised rib on the seat bracket, so that I could use both clip mount holes on each clip and get the clips where I wanted them. It's a little overkill, but it is definitely rock solid. Doing it that way took enough work to count as a "mod" - maybe I can even call it a "BILLET MAGLITE MOUNT MOD"

Got mine at ACE hardware two weeks ago for about $5, mounted mine on the floor at the front of the driver's seat. Works great, out of the way and with in reach when you need it.

For those of you that "don't get it".......It's not just another thing to mark up as a mod, having a flashlight in your truck is a very handy thing but most maglights are too big to fit in the glovebox and/or they need a charging dock to keep them charged and ready to go. That's why some here have mounted them at various places for easy acess.

Matt -- some people will walk in to any thread, puke on it, and walk away. Don't worry about that type of comment... I took the comment the same way you did, though.

A flashlight is used at night or in dark places so that you can see.

Kind of like the headlights on a truck.

The clips allow you to mount a flashlight in a convienient spot for quick access while staying quiet and out of the way while not in use.

Nope...I'm not a "camping" or "go out in the woods" type of guy....sorry, but if I ever need one, I'll just keep it in the glove box or center console...
