Truck BreakIn!

Yup, I knew it was bound to happen. Parked at the mall to grab a quick shirt, parked atleast 2 spots away from everyone else to stop the dings. Got off, locked the doors, and went into the store. Was in the store for about 15 mins, as I was walking to the truck I noticed that the door locked was pushed all the way in. I never use the doorlock because I have the keyless entry. But I just taught that I had installed the LT Handle wrong and lock had recessed back. Open my door and what do I see. It looked like my truck threw up. Wires coming from the center of the dash all over the place. They didnt touch the EDGE, my Valentine One, but they also opened the glovebox and took my ipod along with the interlink cable. So all in total 1 Alpine HU, 20gb U2 Ipod, and my brand new colgne I had just bought 3 days ago.
Its amazing how someone in broad daylight just pulls up and steal people hard earned stuff. Of course the police report was done over the phone, and the mall security did there report, but I'm not hoping out for anything. I just gonna take off my keylock and leave it blank, and get an alarm. I'll try to post pics all I have is my camera phone.

Sorry to hear about your robbery. Lock or no lock, they can jimmy the door in about 10 seconds with a flat blade screwdriver punched in at the edge of the door handle.

That sucks! I think you're right that it is time for an alarm in there though.

Damn thats heartbreaking, at least your truck was still in the lot, and you know it was just some punk in euro car cause they didn't take your edge. He probably didnt know what the hell it was....I hate when this happens because people dont care how hard others work for their things. Get that new alarm in there.....

Definitly get a 2-way alarm. I put an alarm on every car I buy before I put any kind of valuble item in it.

I agree... or a model T coil that shocks the heck out of them... or a grenade that blows them up... trouble is the ACLU would be all over you for violating there rights.

The ACLU would have to wait for you to get out of jail for murder. Names have been changed to protect the guilty.

Damn sorry to hear about that! You got lucky!

My truck was broke into about a year ago. I have a permit and always carry my .45 Kimber Compact. I had it with me one day and had to make a stop by the bank. Since I was going inside I decided to just slide the gun in the center console, ran into the bank for maybe 15min. (Keep in mind folks are steady walking in and out of the bank, and all around the P.lot) I come back out only to find my passenger side window busted out, scratches on the top plastic piece of my door (SOB Jumped through the window, keep from having to open the door and possibly set off an alarm) He found my gun Mag-Lite, a makita drill that was slid under the back seat of the truck, and my digital camera in the console with my pistol.

No one saw it, and the F'ing P.lot cams at the bank were not functioning at that time. Needless to say I dont use that bank any longer!!
