'04-'05 F-150 drives over Cadillac
Happened earlier today and the 11.00PM news just reported the F-150 did drive over the Cadillac who crossed its path.
I'm pretty sure that F-150 is stock height [the clip HERE shows the truck's height clearer] but it goes to show that these things can and do happen with our truck's stock height.
I hope the little kid's fine [he's reported as being critical], as the dad has pulled through with next to no injuries as the late news reported.
Drive safely peeps.

Many states already have bumper height laws or headlight height laws on the books for just this reason.
Dont get me wrong, I feel bad for the father and his son who were injured in this accident but the driver of the F150 was not injured. I say this is another reason to lift a truck.
Besides, if this F150 had been slammed, all of that kinetic energy would have impacted the side of the caddy, probably resulting in more injury to the occupants of both vehicles. As it stands now much of that force was redirected upwards and over the car, collasping the roof.
The F150 looks like it sustained some cosmetic damage and some suspension damage but could be repaired. The caddy is heading to the scrap yard, probably due to extraction efforts by the FD.
With more trucks and SUVs on the roads manufacturers may want to reinforce the roofs of their cars a little better.

in the second news link you provided it pans in on the tire area and for a bit you can catch the aftermarket crossmember, but the debate continues as to what brand of lift.

Plus I like to say that the bullbar held up nicely considering that the truck took a full headon blow. This might have aided the F150 up and over the car.
