Just bought a Factory NAV unit and have some questions.

Well, I have been wanting one of these Factory Navigation systems to put in my FX4 SCREW, been watching ebay for a while but had no plans to buy one yet. Well today I saw one going for a little less than normal and figured I would bid thinking I would get out bid and actually won. So I hope I did not get screwed, but the guy had 100% feedback, so we shall see. Anyhow, I am getting the head Unit, the antenna, and the Sirius unit for $790. Supposedly it was taken out of the truck when it only had 15 miles on it, so it sounds like it is new. I still need to get the navigation disc, before I can use the nav portion of the unit. So here are my questions

1. What Ford NAV disc should I be looking for? I noticed online there are several available, so I am not sure which one I need.

2. Will I be able to install the Sirius tuner? I know I will need an antenna, where do I get the cable to hook up the tuner to the head unit, I am assuming this is how it would be powed as well.

By the way I have an 04 F150 FX4 SCREW with the Audiophile system & Sub.

Any help would be great, thanks!!

1. Why wouldn't you be getting these w/ the system? It would be no use to the seller if he doesn't have a Ford NAV.

2. I believe all sirius antenna connections are SMB, however most factory units have a plastic clip that aids in attaching it. Also, most factory connections are straight, while the connections included w/ aftermarket Sirius are right-angled.

I would also hope that you would receive the cable from the back of the NAV to the Sirius. That should be a short jumper - probably not worth installing in a factory wire loom.

Good find!

1. You would think the seller would include the disc, but not this time around. Probably sold it apart to make some extra money, sucks for me.

2. Yeah I figured as much about the sirius antenna from the threads I have read. As for the cord between the tuner and the Head unit, I spoke to a parts guy at a ford dealer and from the diagrams he looked at he concluded that the cable is part of the main wire loom. He said that there were 18 different wire looms available, depending on the truck options. So I could be out of luck here, but I spoke to a member of on this forum "nothingbutford" (I think that is the right name, going by memory) and he was going to check for me. If that is the case he thinks he can make one up for me, so that would be awesome. Anyhow, thanks for the input.
