ticking noise?

i have this tickin noise coming from the engine bay and i cant figure out what it is. I here it really good if i idle next to a wall and it drives me crazy. does anybody know what it is? I have a 2005 5.4 with only 19k on the ticker and i am the original owner. i think it may be the power steering pump but i am not totally positive. can someone please help?

Its normal, well to my knowledge its normal. Unless its extremley loud wich you didnt say. I have it too, its somthing in the engine design.

If it's a light ticking that's in time with the idle, then it's the fuel injectors. Perfectly normal, but if your hearing a metallic double knock from the front of the engine then it could be cam phasers. Still no cause for alarm it just means a trip to the dealer for a warranty fix under a TSB for the issue.

That description sound like cam phasers to me. If it does not do it when the engine is cold and once it is warm, if it goes away above 1500 RPM then it is probably cam phaser knock.
