Grill Suggestions

The other day, I noticed a piece of 4" X 4" lumber in the left side of the Grill of my 2004 FX4 Screw. I pulled it out, not realizing that it had damaged anything. Latyer, I was cleaning the truck, and noticed that it had knocked out the honeycomb, and cracked the surround. So I guess I am in the market for a grill. I may just go OEM, or I may go aftermarket. What aftermarket kits include the surround?

My rule of thumb in the way-too-many vehicles i've modified is that if the car or truck has a defining characteristic- something that sets it apart from other years and other makes, keep it.

Thats how I feel about the factory honeycomb grille. If you go with aftermarket, don't go with the same boring diamond hole, horizontal thin bar, or flame grilles that everyone else goes with, on every ford, chevy, and toyota- use the factory surround and come up with your own.

I had to replace my grill as my surround got cracked and it cost me 70 bucks or so plus shipping for a replacement oem grill. I bought mine from http://www.rockauto.com/ .

Hope this helps.
