X-Plan Question.

Two Questions..

A) My Dad gets supplier X-Plan pricing through his work and we have the same name.. Does anyone see any "issues" with me purchasing a truck using his X-Plan information?

B) What is the website I visit to generate the pin number?

Thanks,

I don't know enough about all the details to answer your first question. On the second one though here's the site: www.fordpartner.com You'll need to know what the code is for his company.

I don't believe you are elgible as you don;t work for the supplier, your father does. To purchase it, your father would have to make the purchase, and IIRC, the vehicle would have to remain titled to him for at least 6 months. (I can't seen to access the AXZ plan purchase info page at the moment, so don't quote me on that...)

Interesting.... Well that kind of sucks.. I dont quite understand the business models of these car companies.. If they want to sell cars they should keep it simple... I love buying new cars but I hate the process. I relize I might be able to get a better deal then the X-Plan but I hate the "process" of dealing with the dealers. Anyone willing to generate a PIN for me under the friends and family plan since I dont think I will have luck with my Dad's plan?

Thanks Guys.. This board is great!

You can use your dad's X-plan, just log in with he's pasword and than when you put the info it's request add your info including SSN. I have bought 2 trucks with the x-plan and it's my brother the one that work for UPS.

I can get you your own X plan pin if you like. I work for Ford and am allowed to issue to others. All I need is your last 4 of your social, name, address.

And it WORKS!!!! Just bought an 07 Mustang GT using the X-plan, got it from another website, so it's legit! just send the LAST 4 digits of SSN though, as he's requested. The dealership just needs the PIN#.

Ford has recently changed the X-Plan requirements. If you live in the same house as your dad. You are considered a X-Plan participant. It as covers if you want to purchase the vehicle as a company vehicle.

Just a head's up -- if you're looking at purchasing an F-150 you should be able to do better than X-plan pricing with very little negotiation. In fact, I suspect that if you walk into a dealer and tell them that you'll take an F-150 at "X-Plan" they'll probably jump all over the deal.

Now for a hot-selling car like the Mustang GT, X-Plan is a great way to go......

I think that may depend on the dealer. When I bought my '05, Ford had just started the Friends & Family pricing so what you said was absolutely true at the dealer I bought from. At a couple of the other dealers in the area it was cheaper to use X-plan. I guess it's still wise to do some research before jumping into a purchase no matter what.

While using X plan, you should still receive all the other incentives offered.

I don't think you'll have a problem. When I bought mine on the x-plan all the asked for was the printed copy of the pin number you get when registering your x-plan online. Having the same name they shouldn't ask any questions.

Maybe it's different for X but, I used Z when buying my truck. My father-in-law is retired from FoMoCo... I was on 3-way when he called to get the pin number. They asked for the normal information, including SSN, address, date of service and such... then they asked who was buying the vehicle. He said 'son-in-law'... they asked no questions.

Hey RockPick fellow Kentuckian here, I'm in Bardstown. If you ever need a pin just email me. I work at the truck plant about 20 minutes from you.
