I have a 2006 Ford F150 Lariat S/Crew....I've noticed that when shopping for parts, a lot of the internet stores do not list parts for a 2006. Am I safe purchasing the parts listed for a 2004-2005, since those years have the same body style?

I was looking for a new set of shocks for the front of my truck. I was told that for normal city/highway driving, there will be no noticable difference between purchasing bilstein, pro comp, or similar. So spending the extra money on a set of shocks such as bilstein would be a waste. Any opinions?
