Desperately need AF1 HELP!

I cant seem to ever get a brake when modding my truck. First it was the batched order ny Hottexhaust.com (long story) and now this.

I bought this off our classifieds, which after today, I might not do anymore. Anyway... it seems that I am missing some pieces. Does this look right?

And if this is right, then how am I supposed to attach the filter?

You can see where the previous owner cut the filter.

Its dark and getting cold. I cant drive without a filter! HELP!

This is what it should look like. I have one as well and it looks just like this. I got this from AF1's website.

I believe you have the wrong AF1 for your vehicle. What you are showing there is an AF1 for an '03 or older truck that had the MAF in another location...Where did you get it and what did they tell you that it was for???

I would tend to concur. If I were you, I may start replacing the stocker.

The one pictured in the post above is for the 5.4. The one for the 4.6 is a 90 degree bend, like this:

I did not get the adapter to connect the filter to the MAF sensor. The previous owner had the MAF backwards, as seen by the cuts in the filter he made to make it work.

Im trying to find the adapter, plus the rubber grommets that hold the heat shield down. I sent AF1 an email with this problem. Hopefully they can sell them to me seperate.

I think you've nailed it on the head.

Definitely looks like it's for a different year model.

The one pictured in my above post is from the AF1 site. It has to be a 90 or it wouldnt fit.

The add said it would fit 2004 4.6.

I have what AF1 site has pictured for a 2004 4.6, except for connecting the filter.

Looking at the throttle body, you can see how the one pictured from the tryoyer site would not work.

Yeah, used parts suck. Like I said, I KNEW it was too good to be true.

This whole thing hurts my pride more than anything else.

But, being pissed when its 40 degrees outside, i was able to reinstall the stocker in no time! Im getting good at this.
