Be careful...
Be careful there. That description is very misleading.
It has always been my impression (been in the truck accessory business for awhile), that the black TrailFX step bars are not stainless steel. The polished bars are T304 stainless, but the black ones are powder coated plain old regular steel. In my opinion, anything NOT stainless just aint worth the jack, whatever the jack is. A rock flies up, chips the black, and you're screwed.
TrailFX was created by a huge truck accessory distribution company as their "House Brand." It's common with just about any of the larger distributors to do that. An importer makes those stepbars for TrailFX. I have quite a bit of experience with that importer, which is a really good company and makes one of the finest polished stainless stepbars you can get...but in my opinion, their black is mediocre at best. It aint stainless and the warranty rate is higher.
I know the low prices are alluring, but $140-150 is a lot of money to waste on a set of bars that are likely to not hold up well and not take a very good beating. Spend a little more now, save in the long run.
Find something black powdercoated stainless, like Westin's Platinum Series.
Just my opinion...
