I'm having to have at least my pcm reflashed by the Ford house because of my edge programer taking a nose dive.

Has anyone had to have anything more expensive or intrusive repaired on their trucks due to the Edge cratering the pcm?

 

Won't edge pay for the reflash?

 

they didn't mention it on the phone of course. I'm calling tomorrow to ask about it. I didn't see anything about them paying till this evening on the boards.

 

Check the fine print in your book, I doubt if they'll pay as they can't control what you do with it.

 

How do you know it's from the Edge? I had to have my PCM replaced last week. Misfiring, rough idle etc. TGF extended warranty programs.

 

I knew it was the edge since It did it imediatly after the edge tried to program it. People here have been reimbursed before for it. I called today and was told to fax the recipt to the manager and he would make the the final call. They are sending me a new programer. Cost of reflash was $137 and change. Still not sure whether to install or ebay the new one I get.
