How did your truck handle in the snow w/chains? Chains would probably drop and mold into the mud grappler tread but I've thought of those plastic slats that attach to your tires when I go mudding. Truck looks like a monster in the pic below.

Wherever we camp at we usually cook carry a coleman stove and all the necessary tools u know beer, fish, dogs, burgers etc etc. beer, some Jack Daniels. Since im a floridian i didnt know to much about chains when i bought them last yr. I used chains when i was in Korea and of course govt issue as far as buying my own, i need a better set. Dad drove the beast back to the cabin fairly easy with the chains but when he was going back out (its all up hill) two of the chains came off one on each end then he was stuck had to get someone to pull him out and of course if the chains didnt come off he would have been able to come out on his own. Cheap or not they do make a diifference, but soon ill have a better set. I was told by my neighbors (neighbors r about 3 or 4 miles from me its great) that i need to get a set of 2 link spaced v bar chains. My land is near Rocker or for a bigger city Butte. Thanks for the comments.

awesome man- looks like the area got some decent snowfall! chains definitely make a difference- not ready to pony up to the 150-175$ a pair for my 35x12.5's yet though! from Seeley Lake (or for a bigger city; between missoula and kalispell)

Venture on out to west texas in the panhandle, just about once a week lately we get snow or ice. You people in the dallas area can have all of it if you want some snow My cousins down there say no one knows how to drive even when it is only a small amount of snow or ice

BTW nice pics!
