???? are you even reading what I am typing in my posts?? I keep telling you it is perfectly aligned, my problem isnt with the alignment. My camber, toe, etc is perfect now... in fact I dont really have a problem, I'm just wanting to know if anyone has done anything to offset the fact that once a AS kit is put on your truck it tends to move your wheels inward just a little (they are perfectly 90* with the ground, just scooted inward 1/4-1/2"). Like I've said and Kspencer has said, when the control arms drop down they swing in an arc moving the wheel inward. Sorry if my post has been confusing, probably the best thing for me to say is everybody forget me mentioning my camber kit, this is something that happens to every truck that has a AS kit put in it regardless of the camber kit, I just dont know if most owners even notice it. I do though, I'm the kind of guy that can walk out to my truck and imediatley notice if I have a valve cap that has been loosened a 1/4 turn.

Well you have the eye for detail then. I took off my 2"AS off after a year being on the truck (like I posted before), put it down to stock heigth in front, had it re-aligned and just today I noticed the wheel/tire was a tad bit farther outward from the fender than it was with the AS kit. I understand where you're coming from, I just had the stock rim/tire combo on and I do recall it looking inset inboard more with the spacer than without. Maybe a bit wider tire will make it look more appealing to you.

BTW, mine is a 2wd too.

The steeper angle of the lower control arm applies more force on the coil by moving the coil inward at the bottom. I know it is only slightly, but there is more compression. Wheel spacers are dangerous on any truck used for hauling. The added sheering stress on the hub caused by moving the support (wheel) outward can result in breaking studs. Let's face it, Ford made a heavy 1/2 ton, period. I would be hesitant to use wheel spacers. The safer, and more expensive fix, is to go with an aftermarket wheel with your desired backspacing. You just have to be careful with allowing room for turning in the fenderwell. Spacers work well for passenger cars, but I would not consider it for a truck.

you may have a point about the steeper angle causing a little more compression, that makes some sense, but if thats true then my 2wd shouldnt get as much lift out of the kits as your 4wd As far as the wheel spacers go, I dont use my truck to haul, its mainly used to commute to work and pull my bass boat, so I dont expect I would ever put that big of a strain on the front lugs if I did put spacers on. But, I dont know if I would ever put spacers on it anyway, I'm hoping that when I go with bigger/wider tires it will help hide the wheels being set in.

glad to see someone noticed and understands what I am talking about now Hopefully a wider tire will help hide it. I cant believe this hasnt been brought up before now? I did a search earlier today and didnt find any posts about this. Could be that most people that have put the AS kits on have already added aftermarket wheels and bigger tires and its just not something thats noticeable after that.

before the AS my tires stuck out about a 1/2" farther than the outer edge of my front bumper, now its pretty well even. Thats how I noticed it.

In my line of work when someone notices she smallest details we say "You've got calibrated eyes."

I can't believe I never noticed that until just today. Sheez. I was walking to the house from the mailbox after my trip home from work and noticed the front tires stuck out more than usual, well that is after I took off the spacer.
