I'm thinking you're thinking a bit high if you're thinking $20K. You very rarely, if ever, get what you put in back from mods.

Its a buyers market right now so it is very unlikely you will get what you are asking. Unless of course you find someone that just has to have it....

I agree with everyone else, unless you find the right person falls in love with your truck and just has to have it. You are not going to get the money that you put into the lift, rims and tires, back out of it. Personally I think that you have a great looking truck! But, I also wouldn't pay even $17,000 for it since it is an XL with the 4.6L. But thats just me also.

I paid $22,549 for my loaded XLT with 5.4 and I bought it new. I don't think your options add any value and they would subtract value for many buyers. I would rather have it and pay more if it was bone stock. The options would make me wonder how it has been treated. I bought mine as a leftover and KBB was nearly $27,000 when I bought it.

17K seems OK,I guess, if not high. I also probably wouldn't buy it. It's been modified. I don't know you so I would always ? the quality of the work that was completed, not to mention how and where it was driven. Big tires, lifted, I'm thinking it's been thrashed. Don't take offense, it's how I would look at it. I just got an '04 Lariat supercrew for 24K, 17K miles, and it has EVERYTHING,(4X4, moonroof, power slider....) so I can't see spending 4K less for a modified supercab 4.6. Absolute best bet is to find a kid who's parents will buy him the truck of his dreams.... aka yours. Good luck.

20k?? 17k??

Well you have an XL 4.6 and you didnt say 2wd or 4x4 either.

2004 with 50k miles XL 4.6 I'd say you'd be lucky to get $14 for 2wd and $15k for 4wd. That would be for a stock F150, you'd probably get less for modified. If I were you I'd return it to stock ride height and sell the lift/wheels separate.

I bought my NEW 05 XLT 5.4 3.73LS 2wd for $21.9k to put things into perspective.

Well you have to think about what a potential buyer would think, and many see a lifted truck and automatically think its been taken offroad, abused, etc. I mean just recently have people started lifting street trucks that have/will never see off road conditions.

Also you are limiting your potential buyers to only those that want lifted trucks, instead of a truck period.

wow thanks alot for all of the responses. I was thinking the same as all of you that it wont be worth what i would ask for it. I just was thinking that i like to do alot of offroading and a jeep is more fit for that. But hell i built it for what i like to do, might as well use it!! Anyway i went wheeling the other weekend and went through what the locals call the "swamp" a jeep with a 6" lift and 35's got stuck... but my F150 made it.. the tires were completle submerged, anyway thanks alot guys
