I need help finding a good place to look at and purchase Bilsteins. I'm looking for a pair of the silver Bilsteins for a 4WD, front, no lift. Anyone have a good place with a good price? Thanks for the help!!

I got my 5100's from Top Gun Customz for 390.00 shipped (front/rears). They were the best priced from the other places I checked out and I am very happy with them

I also got mine from Top Gun, I payed $380 shipped for the pair. Airborne, how much was your ride quality improved over stock? Also, how did you mount the rears? with the boot up or down? I got mine in and will be getting them installed next week

Mine are in the classifieds and they were only used for like 2 months with no off roading on them.

Ask the seller to place a auction just for the fronts, the silver ones are adjustable but can be left at stock. The non adjustable one only come in yellow if im not mistaken.

Hmmmm I am pretty sure if you are looking for just str8 up replacement Bilsteins, non adjustable you will be stuck with the standard yellow/blue ones. I have not seen OEM replacements in silver. The ones I had gotten prior to the 5100s were from ebay which were the cheapest and you can usually come across just the fronts. Happy hunting

Well I got to tell you man I am liking them. I just got mine installed last Thursday and only have driven with them a few days but Im very pleased. I went boot up like you normally would do it. I read all the past threads about the boot up or boot down crap but opted to go with up. If you cut the plastic dust cover off of the OEM shocks what would be exposed? The rod just like removing the boot from the 5100s.
OK ride wise I like mucho thus far, not as much body roll when I turn and my front went from 37" to 39" (39.25 drivers side but it was always .25 higher). A little stiffer ride but I think its to be expected. I am very glad I got them. Two birds with one stone. Lift the front and replace the weak OEM shocks
Of course they look sharp also. I think you will be very happy. I know I will be happier after tax's and I order my Helo Maxx 6 (18s) and 325-60 Nitto TG. Then I will be happy..... for a month or two. Let me know what you think after install and a test run

thats right I went to coilovers and now to a full lift I am never happy Also Bilsteins are monotube shocks and can be mounted either way shaft up or down but Bilstein recomends shaft down to help protect the shaft seal form getting eaten up by dust and dirt setteling on the seal area. If the shaft is down then dirt cant gather and sit right where the shaft goes in.

Yes bilstein is boot down and Pro comp is shaft/boot up because it is a twin tube shock and they have to be mounted shaft up because they get an air pocket or somthing like that when they are mounted wrong, but bilsteins are monotubes and work either way but boot down helps save the wiper seal
