Fuel Pump Flow Rate

Does anybody know the maximum fuel pump flow rates on these trucks. I just cannot seem to find that data anywhere.

There's a guy on here running a whipple w/ no fuel system mods to speak of (larger pump or boost a pump or upgraded wiring or larger lines) and he's putting down around 400rwhp or more..

I asked about his fuel pump setup and whether they datalogged fuel pump duty cycle and what the wideband read but didn't get much info.

What are you trying to do w/ the pump or your setup?

I have tuned the truck to run only E85 Ethanol. At the top of second gear, my datalogging shows fuel pump flow rate hits 3.99 lbs / min. The 3.99 is accurate and I think the measurement is Lbs / Min. The parameters for this setting seem to be from 0 to 8. So, this is where my question lies. My air fuel trends lean up to .86 or .88 lambda, for 3 datalog ticks (each is .6 or .7 seconds). Following the shift, I no longer have this problem. I am going to datalog fuel pump duty cycle next. I should have done this before. It seems I should know this; but, I don't.

Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what datalog parameter shows fuel pump flow rate, which one is it? Its been a long long time since I've messed w/ my pro racer stuff and I have yet to datalog anything w/ my xcal2. If it were me I'd prefer to read the output of real wideband 02 versus the ticks of the factory 02 swinging.. final thought is what is stoich w/ E85? We know straight gas is 14.6 and I don't think its the same for blends is it?

9.85 to 1. This; however, is calc'd stoich. Normal driving I run 11.82 to 1. Much leaner; but, the burn characteristics of E85 allow this without generating too much heat or emissions. This is never my issue. I only experience a leaning issue under WOT at the top of second gear. That is why I am trying to learn what our max flow rate is. I think I will play with it and see if I can get past 3.99 flow rate. The datalog parameter is in the livelink software under the returnless fuel pump or fuel system category. I am going to look at my Pro Racer Software and see if I can adjust this.

Have you datalogged your fuel injector duty cycles? You might want to give a run at that as well.
