Never realized that so many people still didn't have an EDGE or similair. I really couldn't even imagine not having it now.

Ok so I changed to 4:10 gears and programmed my edge to the correct gear ratio but my speedo is now off. Any updates on this or do I still have the adjust the tire size to get the speedo right?

I was about to say the same thing!

I can ROAST my 37s in the rain without even trying.

When you change the gear ratio, you also have to change the tire size. I can't remember the explanation for it....I just remember that if you change one, you have to change the other also.

No update needed. When you change the size of your tires, you are also changing the gear ratios. The gears in the differential is only one part of the formula for determining an accurate speedometer. The size of your tires is the other part. Use the following website to enter your equipment measurements and see how it will effect your speed in relation to your speedo.

http://www.web-cars.com/math/tiresize.html

On the Edge you must enter both values at the same time and any others that you wish to change and then save it to the truck's PCM. The Edge programmer will then write the new program over the old program that is already stored in the PCM.

So when I change the tire and gear ratio I put in the formula for the bigger tires and then 3.73 axle ratio right? If so thats what I did.

If you were to say get a speeding ticket, and you saw the clerk of court ahead of time about a reduction in your speeding violation and she may have told you to get your speedometer calibrated. And lets say that you reprgramed your tire size with an Edge prior to getting said calibration and the aformention calibration reveiled that your speedometer was in error by 10 miles an hour, a Judge might be prompted to reduce your violation to improper equipment or dismiss said violation entirely. That said, you may still pay a fine but not have any points added to your driving record. I sumbmitt this postfrom a Holiday Inn Express I am curently staying at!

Yep, that sounds right. tire circumfrence (mm) and differential (3.73) Now your speedo will be accurate and your transmission shift points will be set.
If, in the future, you go back into the custom settings and change something, say speed limiter, you will also need to input the values for tires and gear again. Because the programmer re-writes the PCM entirely with the new program and it will wipe clean the previous saved programming.
