The F-150 is gone...
I've known a few guys over the years who change vehicles unusually often like that. Most are just very impulsive, and one day will walk into a dealer and walk out a few hours later with a new vehicle that they didn't even realize they were going to own when they woke up that morning.
I've never really understood the impulse, since I am the type who plans everything related to a vehicle purchase well in advance. I tend to save money beforehand so I can just buy my vehicles outright, and shudder at the idea of going into any deal with negative equity. I also tend to keep my vehicles for long periods of time -- for example my current F-150 and my soon-to-be-purchased Mustang will NEVER be sold, unless I run into severe economic problems somewhere along the line.
From what I've observed, these impulsive guys also tend to be the type who wake up one morning, realize they're 55 years old, and have only $14.00 saved for their retirement!
But that's for a different thread......

And to those arguing, I think the reason he posted this is so we'd have a heads up as to why he no longer posts.

I'll still post. No worries. I still know more about Fords and F-150's than anyone here. And like I said, when the '08 F-150 comes out with a diesel, sign me up. My lease will be up by then anyway. It's all good guys!

To each his own, but have fun being at eye level with most of our tires!
I get a kick out of people who are judgemental of a guy because of the vehicle he drives...
You don't need to explain yourself for buying a different vehicle, everyone's needs/wants are different. It's always fun owning a new vehicle, so enjoy it man
Good luck with the new baby, hope he and mom stay healthy!

I don't see the reason to attack someone because they make a decision you don't agree with. That is just stupid. After all, it's not your money, it's not your car, and why do you care. If he can afford it and is happy with the purchase, I say more power to him. And if he can't afford it, oh well. That is his problem not yours. It also truly boggles my mind why people become so brand loyal. It's like you put blinders on and ignore everything that isn't a Ford. I hate to break it to you, but in most vehicle catagories Ford's are not the best. Not even close. Whenever I purchase a vehicle I compare all of the vehicles in the catagory I am considering, I do serious research and I pick the best/ most appealing vehicle. In this case for me, the F150 was definately at the top of it's class. Sorry to rant, posts like some of the one's above just bug me.
ps. The SE-R spec V is a nice car. Does it have the Brembo Brakes? I would have gone with a Cobalt SS though but thats just me.

Good luck with the car man. Post some pics. Since you're the one making the payments, you really only need to make yourself happy. (and you're family, of course!) Wish you all the best with your upcoming arrival! Post pics of the baby too.
I was in the car business but I'm not following you on this one. I've never heard of a lender offering a 1 year lease. If you got into a lease how would you get out of it in 1 year without having to make the rest of the payments you signed up for.
nissan have a plan or something?

Lemme explain something to you guys (like I should have to). I am a Master Certified Sales Consultant for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. THAT is what I mean when I say I know more about them than anyone. I'm not talking technical specs, ****tard. I'm talking about features, and benefits asscoiated with those features. Sales skills, if you will. I never claimed to know more about them than everyone in regards to every aspect of the truck down to the last bolt. I REFUSE to have some little punk kid judge ME because I CHOOSE not to drive an F-150. I got wayyy better things to do. I won't do it, period. You don't like it? Then leave me the **** alone and get out of my thread.
Rob, I tried and tried to get you to take that console. Unfortunately, an opportunity was presented to me that I did not want to pass up. After all, you only live once, right?
And the lease is a 2 year lease, which I can get out of in 18 months should I so choose.
I've been a member of this site for many years, and I am not going anywhere anytime soon. So, if you want to be civil and offer advice and ask questions in an adult like manner, great. If not, take your E-thuggery and go **** yourself.
/end thread
