Question

Hey,
I have an audiophile system in my 06 fx4 and it has the sirius tuner. My free 6 month subscription ran out and i am not re-newing. Can I use any of that factory setup for my ipod? Unplug the sirius brain and add the ipod. Please give me some ideas!!!

Thanks!!

When I saw the headline 'ultimate install' I was expecting something special, but this is about the crummiest, least professional looking install I have ever seen. Your mount location not only covers up one of your ac vents, but the way you've run the wire leaves a huge gap between the dash and the radio bezel.

If you want to say 'hey look at my install,' that's one thing, but this is far from an 'ultimate' anything. The truly inexcusable part of all of this, is how you framed the post like some sort of 'how-to guide.' I very much hope no one tried to copy your half hearted approach.

I think its a fairly clean install

ive got a RCA Y adapter running into the AUX on my HU and i can plug any MP3 player into my HU directly. the wire is coiled up and stored in the brake controller pocket under the steering wheel on my 03. Makes it simple, and clean.....

Before this body style, I would change the factory HU out to something else.

But I agree with you on this. There is just something that looks wrong if the factory HU isn't sitting there, and it drives me nuts.

The only thing I may switch my stock out with is another factory HU that is MP3 compatible.

Good post by the way. I'm thinking I'll do the same with my ipod.
