Ford brakes!!!

I had my front vibration fixed under tsb for the brakes. Then it came back and was rear pads and rotors. The truck had 30,000 on it and I had to pay for the rear brakes to get fixed. Now it is back Has anybody else had to pay for anything under warranty.Obivously it wasn't the problem

Brakes are considered a wear item and aren't covered by warranty, UNLESS Ford issues a TSB for a specific problem related to it.

30k isn't bad for these big heavy trucks. My rear pads wore out after only 16k and I switched over to Porterfield pads. No rear vibration problems.

I switched the dusty squeaky front pads after only 500 miles or so and put the Porterfields on them. Now I have 23k miles total and not a single problem yet with front vibrations, etc. Maybe it's the cheap Ford pads that's effecting the rotors somehow and causing them to warp/vibrate?

At about 40k I switched to PowerStop rotors in front and Hawk pads due to a hella good vibration..my wife kind of liked it but it irratated me.

Now at 65k my back brakes are doing the same so they will get the same treatment.

Spend the money and be done with it. I was amazed at how little bake duck I get now and it stops much better with just the fronts done.

i've almost got 40k on these stock brakes..

my rotors are warped to hell which cause a sever pulse at any speed but i'll have to live with that untill i get the brakes changed and can get the rotors turned..

HEY how much did your front rotors cost ya Thrill Racing?

if the money gets right i might just replace all 4

having rotors that warp whenever you get just a little bit of water on em is for the birds.

I had pulsation problems with my truck since day one. I turned the front rotors, turned the rear rotors, replaced the front rotors, turned the front rotors (again), replaced the pads and calipers...and now, they seem to be okay.

Most of my driving is all highway too, kinda surprised me since I'm fairly easy on the brakes except for around town.

Are you guys with warpage 4x4? My 2WD never had brake issues, except dust up front. Aftermarket seems the way to go. I like the Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads I have. ($800) OUCH!!!

brakes

ya my truck has 60k on it and i just had to replace the pads for the 2nd time. unfortunately ive been hunting a lot and havent gotten around to it and it burned through the rotors a little bit. thats what is causing the vibration when braking. 1500$ repair. But ive also towed 7000 pound trailer twice over 6000 ft grades in weather and stuff, and the brakes are excellent with the extra weight. just makes sure you get your pads replaced before the rotors burn.

My truck has 30,000 miles on it and it's been 10,000 miles since I had the brake tsb done, but when I took off the AS spacers and the AAL's my brakes work better than ever. I know, I was miffed too.

.

Weird, 73K miles on my stock brakes. I'm considering throwing some new pads up front but they said I still had 50% left at my last state inspection.. That's living in the hills of PA.

$1500 repair? I got performance pads and rotors for all 4 for $800. What did you get? Dam!

I've just recently purchased my truck and so far it's got 15,000 miles on it. The rotors are only slightly warping but they are great compared to other vehicles I've owned. I used to own a lot of Honda's and those rotors warp quick. My RSX and Civic rotors were warped in about 5,000 miles. So when people are talking 30,000 that seems like a lot to me.
