has anyone swapped out the column shift for the console shifter?

for those who did, what are we talkin as far as hours, parts, aggrevation?

 

Try looking through posts by FX4&EXCURSION. He did a complete console swap a while ago and posted a few threads about it.

he replaced the entire dash, i thought just the console could be retrofitted to the existing one... this may pose a problem.

does anyone know, if i make up a custom console, and get my hands on the console shift lever and assembly, if i could make it work?

i'm assuming that shift cable just goes down the transmission...

yeah, thats the one i was lookin for. now its just a matter of finding the console, and filler piece in tan at a reasonable price
