14.7 is damn fast. I have my doubts but I would never tell someone they are lying about something so damn possible. It's possible but not likely, not sure about the tire size so hopefully someone chimes in to let you know. A buddy's 5.3 lowered reg cab 05 chevy runs a 15.3 and that sucker is pretty fast. I am not stock so that gives you an idea ;]

Just remember, if you set your tire size, you also need to set your gear ratio. What size tires do you have? My stock 18in BFGs "measured" out to 2480mm.

last time I checked and inch equaled 25.4mm

pi is 3.14

circumfeence is pi times diameter.
so your tires must be like 32 inches tall?? I wasn't aware they made stockers that tall

Well, by the numbers, they do:

275/65R18 = 32.07" diameter / Circ. = 2557mm
255/70/17 = 31.05" diameter / Circ. = 2476mm

2550mm does seem a bit big though as it looks like you're running 17's. What size are your stockers? If they are the 255/70R17, try something around 2470mm.

If you want the most accurate measurement, take a tape measure to the tire. I used one of my wife's sewing tapes (the real flimsy fabric ones). Just backed over it and wrapped it around the tire. My stock BFGs on 18s also measured smaller than the calculation (2490mm if I remember correctly).

E...

You really should do a rolling measurement of the tire and use the formula in the EDGE instructions. It is the only way I got my odometer correct according to my GPS. No two tire brands are the same in diameter. Tread depth makes a big difference also.

Finally, you may also measure your tire’s circumference by marking your tire and rolling it one complete revolution and measuring the distance in inches or millimeters. If you measure in inches, multiply the distance by 25.4 to convert to mm. (ex. 91.3 inches x 25.4 = 2319 mm). The range of change is from 2000mm to 3500mm in increments of 1mm.

I had the 255/65/17s for stockers and I believe they calculate out to 2398. Also, as someone else said, be sure the gears are correct. My Edge is preset for 3.73s so I have to change every time as I have 3.55s.
