Dash cluster problems

Angry Dash cluster problems

I had a trouble light on (check fuelcap). A friend of a friend says he can turn it off. Long story short, my odometer and trip meter doesn't work anymore. the light is on, but no numbers., Oh, and the trouble light is still on. Help !

Put your fuel cap on correctly, Run your truck a little, then disconnect your battery for 5 minutes and reconnect. This should clear the code! If you have a tuner or scan gauge you can clear the code with one of them but you have to correct the problem first. I dont know if the gauge problem is related but im guessing it is and will go away when you clear the code.

What exactly did he do to try to help. Almost sounds like he was messing around and shorted something out.
