05 XLT Crazy Gauges

To start I already know that my battery is shot. So anyways last night I started my truck and none of the gauges moved. In the compass/odometer box was the word TEST. I was like WTF and i pushed the trip/odo button. The box than said GAUGE SWEEP and thats what the gauges did. After that my gauges were normal but the comp/odo box was kind of a menu. I continued to push tht trip/odo button and and got my Tach and voltage and a ton of other things in a digital read out. Here are some pics I took before i shut her down. My Question is what the hell happened and could i have messed up my computer while in this menu. Any help would be great, thanks

This is nothing out of the ordinary. You can access that info by holding in the odo reset button while starting the truck. Maybe your button was stuck and it entered that mode.

You inadvertently entered the truck's Test Mode. You can read all about it here. Check out post #10.

Unless your trip reset button is stuck, the display will revert to normal the next time you start your truck. The Test Mode won't damage anything, though.
