Brush Guard with body lift?

Has anyone seen a truck with a body lift that has a brush guard. I saw one once but the whole brush guard was homemade. Anyway to make some kind of brackets to raise the brush guard up to the body? Anyone got pictures?

I'm sure you can fabricate some brackets, but I can't think of anyone who has done it.

YEP...i done it.....i just installed a 3" body lift...i already had the warn transformer stainless steel brushguard/grillguard and i had to re-fabricate my mounting brackets...i did it all myself, but i took my time and got some heavy duty metal from work and welded it myself.....it came out good...just took some patience and i didn't want to rush it, and screw it up...i don't have but like 3 pics in my album to show u.....check em out......2.5" leveling kit, 3" body lift....but keep in mind that heavy a$$ brushguard and 9500 warn made it squat back down a lil bit.....

yes..it took a longggg time too....had to fabricate all new brackets for my winch and brushguard,,,,and had to completely redesign the rear bumper and new brackets............mine is really different...i redrilled holes one inch high on the tow hitch...then raised the bumper 2 inches off of it...so there's only a 2 inch gap instead of a 3".........don't get me wrong it was all worth it..it looks soooo much better now....all i got to do is buy some 35's to replace the 33's and i will be done...

What exactly did you do with the rear bumper/hitch? Did you hang the whole bumper down 1in lower to divide up the gap? It looks really good.

well i took the bumper off the hitch first.....then took the 6 holes in the hitch(3 on each side angled out) and measured straight down 1" from them and re-drilled new holes....so it would give me plenty of solid metal to bolt back up to the frame........then i took 2 pieces of 1/8 inch flat metal and drew me out a template that would fit, and measured holes 2" high and drilled it and mounted it to the hitch and the bumper to the custom pieces..............basicly i raised the hitch 1" and the bumper off the hitch 2"........and it only sticks out to the rear 1/8" but nobody but me can tell it.....i hate the 3" gap that most body lifts leave from the bumper down to the hitch....so i shortened it to 2"....i like it...it all matches and i can STILL tow and use my hitch...

Isn't that bad to modify the hitch? Could that weaken it? I have heard that is not a good idea. I hope its ok, cause I would be interested in doing this when I get my BL on.
