I know duke just got some led tails, but were those the hellas? I just saw them on their site and they look good.

Wish they had better pix.
They do seem to be a little darker than the HD lights, at least the amber reflecter on the sides. As for the carbon fiber insert, it is not removable, unless you take the entire assembly apart. It is located in the corner above the front turn signal, you can't even see it at all in the pics from Hella.
