Anyone have Pro Comp AT tires?

How do they do in the rain/wet weather? Does your trucks back end slide around when you take off from a stop?

The standard Pro Comp AT's have a pretty average reputation. The new Xtreme AT's are getting much better reviews.

I had a set of 33x12.5R17 Pro-Comp AT's on my old truck (2000 Dodge 1/2 Ton 4x4). I have to say they were great tires. Great traction in all conditions, not loud, wore evenly, and lasted for 60,000 miles. If I hadn't traded the truck in on my F150, I would have bought another set.

This is strange. I talked to the place I got my tires and they too have not had any complaints. Mine have a load range E rating if that matters. The tires are very dangerous in wet weather. The slightest throttle will send the back end out.

I have them in a 35x12.5x17. They are pretty good as far as all terrains go. This christmas i'm selling the tires and wheels for some toyo mts, if that tells you anything...

My tires were load range D, I believe. It's possible Pro-Comp changed the rubber compound. A harder compound would result in more slippage.

It's possible that you get more slippage due to the higher pressure run in an "E" rated tire because the tire has less compliance (flex).

I have a set of Pro Comps New Xtreme AT's 35x12.50-18 that I run in the winter and I actually like the way they perform better then my Toyo MT 35x12.50-20 that I run in the summer time. When the toyo's wear out I will have two sets of the Xtreme AT's 35-13.5-20....

My bro has over 35k on his 265/75-16 procomp ATs on his 96 ram 4x2. Those tires saved me from haveing to go pull him out of the snow many times, Im sure of that. His are LR E so they are a bit hard for the 1500 shortbed he has but overall, they are nice tires.

I have the 305/65-17 Xtreme ATs on my truck and I love them. We got about 6" today of the white stuff and they handeled it just fine. I even took the truck out in 2wd for a while to see what they would do and the only problem I had was on this horrible hair pin snow covered curve in my neighborhood.

I'd buy any pro-comp tire again, eazy.
