Exhaust Leak

My truck just rolled over 5,000 miles this past weekend. While changing the oil, I found black residue around the connections between the driver side cat and in front of the muffler. (I thought it sounded like a leak a few weeks back but brushed it off and thought nothing of it.)

So I take it to the dealership I bought it from and they say that it is perfectly normal to have black residue at the connection points, and that it wasn't leaking.....WTF

So today I am taking my truck to the dealership my dad goes to and see what they say...

end rant

Yeah, I'm thinking they're feeding you a line of BS too. The last time I looked at mine, with 22,500 on the counter, it didn't have any leaks at any of the connection points.
