Buyback Question

If my truck can't be fixed and I end up pursuing a buyback do I have to get another F-150 or will they let you apply that to a Mustang?

If it is a buyback, you should be able to purchase any vehicle you want (or even just get your $$ back and go to another dealer/manufacturer).

My buyback was a sticker to sticker swap, any Ford Lincoln or Mercury made available by my dealer.

Mine was a sticker to sticker swap as well. They give you the sticker for your truck, plus any add-ons you have put on, minus an agreed upon mileage charge. You can then apply that money towards another vehicle. The only catch is, if the new vehicle is cheaper, you will not get any refund.

Thats good to know, thanks for the replys everyone.I'm not sure if this makes sense, but, what if you gave them money down? I put down $1,000, do they take that off the price?

More importantly do they pay the taxes on your new vehicle? Taxes in NE are brutal. I can't afford another $1,700+ to plate another new vehicle for the first time.
