do a search on Ebay, there are power lock kits out there that are dirt cheap. I put a set in my XL and love them. Now the Ebay power windows is another story, I also put a set of them in my truck and liked them at first but its probalby been a year and a half now and my passenger window will barely go up. Actually been thinking abuot putting my cranks back in.

Lots of posts on putting in power locks. Keyless should cost you about 65-75 bucks for keyless entry, lock actuators, harness. All you really need. With aftermarket keyless you can pop the doors with the key on, so you really don't need a switch.
I was happy with the Crimestopper keyless and Tesor locks. I have since put in a Powercode alarm with it's own keyless system, but there was nothing wrong with the cheaper one.

Sorry to hear about your windows, RjA150. I was one of the first to put power windows in a newbody STX and I'm still happy with mine. Mine were 'brand name' Colibri's and not the ones sold on e-bay for awhile there. Seems like the ones from e-bay were not as good. My windows still function perfectly after many hundreds of cycles. And I am sure I use mine more than most as I use the express up/down most of the time. So my windows make the full trip 90% of the time I use them, and I use them most times I stop. They have been in there 24 months now and still work good.
Maybe you should consider the OEM window motors. Easy to install, and they are the factory parts so they fit and work very fast. If my Colibris ever give me any trouble that's what I will do. You can tie them to the same switches making it an easy upgrade if you already put in 'crank turners'.

the ones I put in were supposed to be copies of the colibri's but obviously as you said they werent as good Oh well, you get what you pay for most of the time. I might check into the OEM motors, but I figure if I go to the trouble of tearing into my door panels again I will probably just go back to the cranks. Its not that big of a deal to me.
